This book is based on 12 monthly newsletters issued by the Anglo-Iraqi Studies Centre/Anglo-Iraqi Dialogue Foundation, based in London, in 2017. The centre and foundation aims to document, present and review publications written in English about Iraq.
Ihsan M Al-Hakim has a BA in Fine Arts from Baghdad University. He has worked in education and teaching arts for many years. In London, where he resides, he works with the Iraqi community in the UK. He is currently the Director of the Anglo-Iraqi Dialogue Foundation, an organisation which aims to enhance the integration of the Iraqi community in the UK.
Nadeem Al-Abdalla holds a Masters Degree in The Politics of Education from Plymouth University. He has worked as an educator, linguist and community organiser for many years. Nadeem is currently Manager of the Anglo-Iraqi Studies Centre (AISC), which serves as the study and research unit of the Anglo-Iraqi Dialogue Foundation. It aims to document, present and review publications written in English about Iraq and to connect Iraqi and Arab communities with the English-speaking academic arena. Nadeem has lived in Beirut, Baghdad and London.
