ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nadeem Al-Abdalla, BA, MA, MCIL holds a BA in English language from Mosul University, Iraq and a Masters Degree in The Politics of Education from Plymouth University, England. He has a long career in the field of education. Nadeem has worked as an educator, linguist and community organiser for many years. He is a member of the Chartered British Institute of Linguists (IOL). Nadeem is currently Manager of the Anglo-Iraqi Studies Centre (AISC), based in London. This is a centre which aims to document, present and review publications written in English about Iraq and to connect Iraqi and Arab communities with the English-speaking academic arena. Nadeem has lived in Beirut, Baghdad and London.
